About us

Hollies Animal Re-homing Trust (H.A.R.T) is a locally registered charity operating primarily in Sleaford and surround villages in Lincolnshire, UK. Our aim is to find forever homes for unwanted or abandoned animals who might otherwise not have a chance of a happy future.

A brief history of H.A.R.T

Hollies Animal Re-homing Trust was started in 2011 when a dog called Gus entered our lives. This giant English Mastiff was young, un-neutered, and had so much love to give and nowhere to go. A group of volunteers got together to form HART to help Gus, and in the following years, hundreds of other animals like him who had nowhere else to go. Over the past 10 years, our numbers of volunteers have grown, and we have re-homed over 1000 animals. These animals include not only dogs and cats but also mice, rats, hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, birds, and on one occasion, even a horse! Our dedication to finding loving homes for animals continues to grow, and we strive to make a positive impact on their lives.

What do we do?

H.A.R.T take in companion animals locally from both the public and strays. We then ensure our animals have a health check, are neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and are up to date with flea and worm treatments.
We have a policy that no animal in our care is put to sleep unless under veterinary advice that they are suffering.
We host and attend many fundraising events throughout the year in order to support the animals in our care. If you have any suggestions, do let us know!
